Experiences at Clayshape
“I had my first evening at Clayshape last night. Really laid back and Nicky knows her stuff. Great fun and I’ll be back to glaze and paint my pieces” CB, Clay and Wine
“It was our kids first taste of pottery (not actually eating it, I mean..) they absolutely loved it, I was amazed how quickly they were able to fashion a quite professional looking vessel, big thanks to Nic’s calm and patient tutelage. On a personal level I must admit I hadn’t expected to find it so absorbing and relaxing – it was fun to bring that creative part of my brain out of hibernation, I expect the critics will be debating my latest ‘piece’ for years to come!” JE, Family Clay Session
“Beautiful experience for my daughter and I. Such a perfect setting and lovely understanding interaction with the children. Thank you” NC, Family Clay Session
“Just wanted to say a huge thank you for such a fabulous party on Saturday, all the girls (and Mums & Dad too!) really enjoyed it. Their pots were great and the girls were chuffed to bits to go on the wheel! A party full of “squidging”… their idea of heaven! Sarah you were just brill with the kids, thank you again” KS, Children’s Pottery Party
“Nic is a natural born teacher and within an hour I had made some beautiful porcelain mobile hangings and even found myself at the clay wheel! My session was informative, encouraging, and relaxing. I am well and truly addicted now and cannot wait to be back in this beautiful place to do more” LF, Clay and Wine
“This is one of the very best things my children, and 6 of their home educated friends, do. We have a regular group at Clayshape. The children absolutely love it. Nic encourages them to express their personalities in the work they produce: introducing new skills and techniques. The studio is wonderful, surrounded by others’ works in pottery, a real sense of achievement, fun, learning fills the room.
Everyone should have a creative outlet. If you do one creative thing this month – Do this” JC, Home Education Session for +10 children
“Wonderful atmosphere with a fantastic teacher who was so patient and calm dealing with all our children. Had a fantastic afternoon. Thank you” RP, Family Clay Session
“Nic Jones is an amazing teacher ~ we had a wonderful evening making shapes with Clay and wine for our dear friend’s birthday. Such a fun and creative thing to do together. If you’re looking for inspiration then go to ClayShape” LH, Clay and Wine
“The clay and wine night at Clayshape was an excellent introduction to pottery in all its guises, with the added bonus of a glass or two of wine and some good banter. I will definitely be back to glaze my creations and make some more.” LL, Clay and Wine
“Absolutely absorbing experience! Very informative yet relaxing!” EL, Clay and Wine
